手術後面部會有不同程度的腫脹，一般3-7 天逐漸消退，術後一周左右即可拆線，這時如果工作需要可以上班。
但完全消腫需1 個月左右，3—6 個月咬肌由於附著點位置的改變及肌張力的變化，咬肌本身會發生自身重建性萎縮，所以6個月左右時達到最佳效果。
